The Navigator is a smooth, quick turning ski, that’s a blast to carve but it can also venture into the pow and crud. My history of skis have been stiff planks of a ski. Head Monster 103. Volkl Katana. Salomon Q-lab 190. Nordica Radicts. I wanted a a ski that was a little less chargy for skiing with the whole family. The 17.5m turning radius lets me carve turns in groomers. Then when I’m let loose, I can head off into the rough. If above skis are 9-10 in stiffness, I give the Navigator a 7. The one sheet of metal keeps things smooth. The tips never chatter. It does have a speed limit though, so if you want a ski to make three turns down a chopped up pow field, look elsewhere. But If you want a ski that can do it all at med/high speed, not super sonic, this ski is the one. I also found that cruising straight on a groomer, the ski is a touch squirrelly. It wants to turn. But once on edge it’s very stable. The Nordica Navigator is simply a lot of fun.
