Lange

Lange has been hand crafting ski boots around the feet of the world's best ski athletes for almost 50 years. Over that period, Lange has won more World Championships and Olympic medals than all other boot brands combined. The people at Lange have always believed ski boots are the most important piece of ski equipment a skier has. Good-fitting, accurate boots offer skiers great control. Sloppy or vague boots offer less control and often almost no edge grip. Beginning in 1959 in Dubuque, Iowa, American Bob Lange, a materials engineer, felt he could improve on leather ski boots by introducing synthetic materials. The first plastic boot was born. And one year later, Bob introduced the first plastic boot with buckles. Because Bob felt so strongly that fit around the ankle is the key to increased control, Lange constantly seeks to combine athletic movement with a close, accurate fit. Mission Lange's greatest claim is that is has continued to evolve its simple, fundamental boot design to enhance the ski experience for the intermediate through elite skiers.
