Völkl began ski production in the Bavarian town of Straubing, Germany in 1923, making 2010 its 87th anniversary. The company's rich heritage is dotted with a tradition of exciting innovations in ski technology, like the recently-introduced Extended Low Profile (ELP) rocker design, the first to combine added finesse and maneuverability in deep snow with all-mountain versatility, to make the days in between storms the best they can be. The company's 2010/2011 freeskiing lineup spans the Big Mountain, All Mountain, and Park and Pipe segments for both men and women.
